“After 14 wonderful years, it’s time for me to say goodbye to this much-loved home that has been at the heart of family life. Located in the vibrant community of Bedminster. The local community is welcoming, from Sunday roasts at the Victoria pub to a lively mix of bars and restaurants on North Street. As for the house itself it is perfect for family life. I am looking to downsize as my children have now moved out. It’s a home that has been truly enjoyed and loved.”
Holmesdale Road is sat at the top of Victoria Park making it a hugely desirable street in the area. The area has a wonderful feeling of community, most evident on sunny days with the park bustling with neighbours and visitors alike. The area is central to many community events such as ‘Art on the Hill’, which happens one a year. This is also an area ideal for commuters both within Bristol and to the cities beyond through the trains at nearby Temple Meads or the local Bedminster station, just the other side of the park. The local primary school, Victoria Park (Ofsted rated 'good'), is well thought of locally and along with St Mary Redcliffe (in the park), has enhanced the appeal of this area and nearby Windmill Hill for young families. Within easy walking distance are gastro-pubs such as the Victoria Park and Star and Dove, brilliant community owned pubs such as The Rising Sun, cafes such as the Sundial Kitchen, fruit and vegetable sellers such as The Banana Boat, bakeries and grocers such as Bristol Loaf and Hugo’s, and many other shops and restaurants. Only a short bike-ride away are the music venues, theatres, cocktail bars, and other amenities of North Street in Southville, Wapping Wharf, and the City Centre. Yet this location is quiet and peaceful. For those looking for green space, there are few, if any, better places in Bristol. Victoria Park itself offers approximately 50 acres of large open space with fantastic views of the city. There is also a child’s play area, café and a marked running route for joggers. Perrett’s Park, with its beautiful views, is only just up the hill towards Knowle, whilst Arnos Vale Cemetery offers winding paths and interesting stories, in an area where it’s easy to feel distant from the city buzz.
A deceptively spacious four bedroom, four storey home on Holmesdale Road in Victoria Park. On entry, you are met with the hallway where there is a storage cupboard followed by a WC built beneath the stairs. Moving to the right you can find the open plan lounge/diner with a bay window and gas fireplace. The dining room includes patio doors leading out to the rear garden. Continuing through the home there is a reception room leading on to the contemporary fitted kitchen. The first floor accommodates three double bedrooms, a family sized bathroom and a shower room. All three bedrooms include built-in wardrobes and the master features a bay window filling the room with natural light. The second floor offers a further double bedroom also with a built-in wardrobe and storage on the landing.
