IF YOU LIVED HERE…
The St Clements development blends historic charm with contemporary living, offering a unique mix of restored period architecture and new-build design. The main entrance makes a striking impression, framed by an ornate wrought-iron gate set into characterful brickwork. Tucked away from the bustle, the setting is remarkably peaceful and quiet, with landscaped gardens at its heart and a strong sense of community. It’s a thoughtfully reimagined East London landmark.
Inside, the wide, softly lit hallway sets the tone with a pared-back aesthetic and practical touches such as a deep built-in storage cupboard. It connects each room seamlessly, creating a natural, easy flow.
The open-plan kitchen, lounge, and dining area is bright, breezy, and beautifully arranged for everyday living. Full-height windows and glazed doors flood the space with daylight and open directly onto the private garden terrace, inviting the outdoors in. Clean lines and a gentle palette keep the room feeling fresh and open, while the layout moves effortlessly from cooking to dining to relaxing.
Both bedrooms are finished with plush grey carpet underfoot, adding softness and comfort. The main bedroom, generous in scale, enjoys a garden outlook, a soft sage feature wall, and a large built-in wardrobe. The second bedroom, positioned nearer the centre of the home, is well-proportioned and filled with natural light—perfectly suited as a restful sleeping space, with the flexibility to also function as a guest room, study, or creative nook if needed.
The bathroom is centrally located and designed with a clean, modern aesthetic. It features a rainfall shower over the bath, textured tiling, and wood-accented finishes that create a tranquil, contemporary feel. Subtle details and a streamlined layout make it a space that’s both stylish and easy to use.
Outside, the private terrace wraps neatly around the home, offering multiple corners to enjoy fresh air and quiet moments. Whether it's a peaceful read in the shade, lunch in the sun, or dinner under the open sky, the garden becomes a true extension of the living space—low-maintenance, leafy, and full of possibility. Beyond your own private outdoor area, the shared communal gardens offer a green and peaceful setting, ideal for meeting neighbours or simply enjoying the open air.
With Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park quite literally on your doorstep, nature is never far away. Just a short walk brings you to the open green spaces of Mile End Park, perfect for a scenic stroll or a breath of fresh air. A little further on, Roman Road Market buzzes with local character and great finds, while Victoria Park offers one of East London’s most iconic escapes. For something more social, Bow and Bells—recently listed among Time Out’s top 50 pubs—is the perfect spot to unwind with friends.
WHAT ELSE?
Well connected and easy to reach, the home sits just five minutes’ walk from Mile End Station, providing swift access to the Central, District, and Hammersmith & City lines. A WORD FROM THE OWNER...
"We have loved living here for the past 5 years so much - the development is gorgeous, there is a real community feel and our neighbours are all amazing! Our flat is at the back of the development and is in front of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park which means it is so tranquil and peaceful (literally zero road noise), even though we’re only 5 minutes walk from Mile End tube so we’re still so close to the city. The terrace has also been a huge bonus for us - it gets the sun from midday all the way into the evening. We have put so much love and care into this flat, and hope the next owners love it as much as we have!"
