"Garnet Street has been a wonderful place to live over the past 8 years and we will be so sad to leave. The street is quiet and the privacy our garden offers is something we will really miss. With the bustle of North Street just moments away we have loved making the most of grabbing a coffee on a Sunday morning or going for impromptu dinners. It’s been a wonderful place to raise our young family with nearby parks, highly rated nurseries and schools in walking distance and loads to do for young families. We have especially loved sitting in the sun in South Street Park as it sets on summer evenings, watching the balloons float over the suspension bridge from the end of our road or wandering down to the harbour for fish and chips from Wapping Wharf."
Garnet Street is a quiet residential road of terraced Victorian homes in one of the most desirable parts of Bristol. Located in the 'Chessels', just off Chessel Street in Bedminster, this house is within easy reach of all of the amenities of North Street, including The Tobacco Factory, the popular Souk Kitchen, The Malago as well as highly regarded cafes such as Burra, Albatross Cafe and Tin Can Coffee. Heading further north crossing the river from Southville, you're less than fifteen minutes from all Bristol City Centre has to offer. For those who work in the city, the commute by foot or bike is short and painless, with lovely views along the harbourside. The journey home after an evening in the city is also straightforward and advantageous on foot rather than negotiating city centre traffic. Over the river to the left in Wapping Wharf is the high-end development ‘The General’ with Michelin star restaurant: Paco Tapas. Beyond these is Bristol’s scenic harbourside with its boat trips and water-facing bars and restaurants. With this house being under 2 miles from Temple Meads - Bristol's main train station - and close to roads which can take you out of the city in either direction, the location of Garnet Street is certainly key to its popularity.
A beautiful family house that has been extended downstairs to create a light and bright home. Downstairs the living room/dining room has been opened up with a bay window at the front and doors to the rear garden at the rear. The living room has a Victorian fireplace and inbuilt alcove storage and the dining room can either be closed of by double doors or left open for open plan living. The kitchen at the rear has been extended so has space at the end for a small dining table or casual seating area and the units are modern with man made stone tops and integrated appliances. This room also has a bifold door onto the pretty rear garden which is paved and private. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a family bathroom with free standing roll top bath.
