History
Berkswell Hall was commissioned in 1812 by sir John Wilmot as lieutenant Governor of van die Mans land. The estate then passed hands and was eventually sold to Joshua Wheatley, a war manufacturer who developed and cultivated the grounds and the lake, of which in part are still evident today. in 1942 the estate passed to the hands of trustees where upon in 1984 the hall was re-sold and converted into 16 luxury apartments.

Seller’s Story
I have lived and worked in Berkswell Hall for nearly 50 years from the time it was converted from a single home and am reluctantly selling.
When I first saw the flat at 12 Berkswell Hall I fell in love with the view of the lake with the swans and herons and ducks and open fields all around filled with sheep and baby lambs prancing around from time to time like being in Shakespeare's Warwickshie countryside with Stratford on Avon theatre down the road .
I used to jog all around the lake and through the weir at the end of the stream that runs through it. I have swum across to the island at one end and walked across thick ice in the depths of winter and warmed up in front of a blazing open log fire in
the living room.
We converted the enormous loft space with a view to making another two bedrooms with bathrooms ensuite at a later date with a new staircase
off the wide entrance hallway with double height ceiling and feature original style Atrium.
The woods next to the lake are a blaze of color in early spring with a carpet of snow drops every year followed by daffodils and then bluebells.
Berkswell village is one of the most sought after villages in the area and was home to the first lady Wimbledon Champion with memorabilia in the Berkswell museum.
The Berkswell Church next to the Well House has a crypt dating back to the 10th century and there is a village shop, green, school and railway station plus the famous black and white timber framed Elizabethan Bear Public House.
