"This amazing home and neighbourhood has been a true haven for our family. The high street is a gem, with fantastic cafes, pubs and wholefood store. We have also spent hours on scenic cycle routes which we are fortunate to be surrounds by to Bath or The Cotswolds. Our garden has been a favourite spot for sunny lunches, quiet moments, and BBQs with friends, and the garden room we built at the end of it has been a dream for working from home. The house is our oasis, perfect for getting cozy by the fire in winter or entertaining with its open-plan outside/inside kitchen on warm days. We would happily stay another 10 years if we could, and we hope the next owners love it as much as we have."
New Buildings is an attractive cul-de-sac within Fishponds, on the edge of expansive green space surrounding the Frome Valley. The open feel to the area is rarely found in such a relatively central city location with an abundance of greenery, trees and wildlife on the doorstep for residents of this area. The area has a strong sense of community with several local events and groups to join. Eastville Park is home to a range of facilities including tennis courts and a bowls green as well as indoor community space. Just beyond Eastville Park, a short walk away is also Greenbank, home to the popular Greenbank Cemetery, great for exploring, but also home to some brilliant independent shops and cafes like Este’s and Matter Wholefoods. Fishponds has seen several cafés established nearby, becoming very popular, such as Mi Cafe Su, The Crafty Egg and FED. Snuffy Jacks is a great local micro-pub on the Fishponds Road high street whilst Irish pub The Star, a five-minute walk from the property, is a well-regarded historic venue, home to live music and the accolade of ‘best pint of Guinness in Bristol’. For commuters, Fishponds is very convenient with ease of access to the M32 and M4 motorways, as well as just being a short cycle, drive or bus journey into the city centre or to large areas of employment across North Bristol. The area benefits from several tarmacked cycle paths which provide traffic free routes into the City Centre, or out towards the suburbs, or to Keynsham and Bath.
This extended two bedroom terraced home offers the perfect opportunity for someone looking to move into a beautiful period property in one of the most up and coming neighbourhoods in the city. The grounds floor features a snug front reception room with charming period features and a fitted log burner. There is a convenient shower room under the stairs whilst the back of the house has been beautifully extended to create a large open plan kitchen dining room with bi-folding door filling the room with natural light. Externally, the well maintained garden gets plenty of sun, ideal for summer barbecues. The existing owners have added the stylish home office at the end of the garden. Upstairs you have a generous double bedroom as well as a smaller second, both with direct access into a tasteful bathroom.
