"We've loved living on Somerset Road for the last seven years. Our house has incredible views across the Bristol city skyline and we particularly enjoy watching the fireworks all over the city on New Year's Eve. We back onto the tree canopy at Arnos Vale and so the house feels really peaceful, despite being a stone's throw from all that Bristol has to offer. Somerset Road is an ideal location - particularly for young families as there is very little passing traffic and there are excellent schools and nurseries within walking distance. Totterdown and Knowle offer an array of independent shops, restaurants and pubs as well as open spaces like Arnos Court Park and Perrett's Park. Access into town is an easy walk or short bus ride down the Wells Road."
A beautiful mid terrace house situated on Somerset Road in the popular pocket of Victorian homes between Wells Road and Arnos Vale. One of the real benefits of this house is the amount and variety of parks and green spaces within a short distance. Arnos Vale Cemetery, Redcatch Park and Community Garden, Perretts Park and Arnos Vale Cemetery with its popular café are all within 10 minutes walk from the house. The expansive Victoria Park and Callington Road Nature Reserve are also nearby, providing brilliant open spaces for the summer or for walking the dog all year round. The area is easily commutable from Bristol City Centre, approximately 30 minutes walk, a short cycle or bus journey down Wells Road. The area also has lots of amenities on the doorstep with Wells Road recently becoming home to more and more popular bars, cafes and restaurants. The Knowle Pub is just a short walk away and is a great spot for a Sunday lunch or a beer in the garden.
Somerset Road has been refurbished from top to bottom and offers a spacious family house with a beautiful interior. The house backs onto Arnos Vale Cemetery so is a tranquil spot with gorgeous views as well as being close to the Wells Road and then to the city. The house is entered on the ground floor which is home to two reception rooms, the front being a multi use room which could double as a guest bedroom and is light and bright with stripped wood floors and a bay window. The main reception at the rear has green views over the cemetery and a wood burner. Downstairs the kitchen/diner has high ceilings, parquet flooring and doors to the rear garden which is lawned and decked. There is also a shower room on this floor. Upstairs the first floor has two double bedrooms and the family bathroom. The loft has been converted into a fabulous master bedroom with en-suite shower room and views over the cemetery.
