'During our time at Windmill Hill, we have never ceased to be amazed at how tranquil it is, particularly for such a central area. Due to the peaceful nature of the area and being raised from the street, the house is particularly quiet despite being close to various vibrant, bustling hubs, such as North Street and the harbourside. This is perfectly illustrated by the stunning views from the front of the house; panoramic views of the city blend into rolling hills of the nearby countryside.
There is a wonderful sense of community here and plenty to get involved with, such as street parties and events in the beautiful, sprawling Victoria park, which is only 5 minute’s walk away. The mural clad streets of North street are a stone’s throw away, with places like The North Street Standard being ideal for impromptu drinks. East Street is equally as close with its growing selection of eateries and bars including The Bristol loaf and Alpha Bottle & Tap. There is also the Windmill Hill City Farm which is a lovely place to take little ones. The harbourside is only slightly further on and there are several good pubs close by, including The Rising Sun, The Victoria and The Star and Dove.'
Quantock Road is a quiet street situated in the popular Windmill Hill area of Bristol. Windmill Hill is renowned for the fantastic views it offers from many vantage points over Bristol and towards the countryside to the south and west. The area has become one of the most sought after in Bristol over recent years, popular with many for its picturesque streets of charming Victorian homes and the character they offer within. The Victoria Park Pub is a short walk away, which offers fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere. Towards Bedminster, there is the vibrant North Street, housing a diversity of independents, such as the Albatross Cafe, the highly regarded Kask, as well as Oowee Diner. On from this, the Tobacco factory, a cultural hub of South Bristol, is just a 20 minute walk away with a great lineup of shows. Just a small walk away from North Street, you will find yourself at Wapping Wharf, with amazing eateries including Wild Beer Co., Root and Seven Lucky Gods. Towards the east of the home, you come across the vast Victoria Park, which is a hive of activity for families, joggers and those looking to socialise. For commuters and young professionals, the house is also well-located, within walking distance of the City Centre and Temple Meads Station and major employers around the Harbourside and Temple Quay. The area also has some well-regarded shops, cafes and pubs, such as The Victoria Park and Park Bakery, with the popular shops and cafes of Totterdown just a short walk away.
Rising above the street on Quantock Road is this beautifully presented two bedroom bay fronted Victorian home. Upon entry, you are met by wooden floorboards that lead through to the front sitting room that houses shelving to either side of the chimney breast, a log burning stove that is nestled into the fireplace, as well as uninterrupted views across south Bristol. The second reception room has an original built-in cupboard to one side of the chimney breast, with storage to the other side. To the rear of the house, there is a kitchen-dining room, with an L-shaped kitchen that has white metro backsplash tiles, a plentiful supply of worksurface space, and a large dining area ideal for social occasions. The first floor comprises two double bedrooms, with the main bedroom having stunning views of Dundry, as well as the bathroom that has a separate bath and shower. The garden catches the afternoon and evening sun, with a patioed area and lawn. The property also comes complete with designs, construction drawings, engineer’s specifications and planning permission for a side return kitchen extension, downstairs toilet and dormer loft conversion.
