We moved into the apartment over 14 years ago as our first home and have built our family around it. It is a lovely quiet corner plot to the back of the building offering some privacy with no disturbance from the car park. We have found living on the ground floor really convenient especially when we unload our shopping thanks to the best parking space.
Access to the communal gardens, having a choice of two areas to enjoy, being the corner plot which we’ve made good use of with many picnics and water fights in the summer and just recently enjoyed snowball fights and building snowmen a couple of weeks ago! We have really enjoyed living in our apartment, updating many rooms with quality and practical replacements to make it easy to live in our home.
One of our favorite rooms is the separate kitchen as you can chat and chill while cooking on the easy-to-use induction cooker and it's a nice place to take a seat while you are on a video call as the under-cabinet lights illuminate the kitchen nicely.
The location is a key factor for why we have been here for all these years. The local amenities are so many to choose from, nearly everything you need is a few minutes walk or drive away, the convenience of the hospital has come in handy a few times, school runs and work commutes have been really easy. Greggs, Dominoes, and many other options of takeaways are available too as well as a convenient late opening Tesco express for that all important Ben and Jerry's ice cream when you are feeling indulgent, all within walking distance.
It’s an easy 15-minute walk into town and The Oracle, and a short drive to Green Park, Reading International Business Park, and Junction 11 of the M4, passing a fair few retail parks, eateries and Costco on route. Reading mainline train station offers a high-speed train service into London Paddington and in the future Crossrail will offer even easier access to the city of London.
We have also enjoyed pleasurable walks within the nearby university grounds, Harris Gardens is a must - it is beautiful!
We have created so many lovely memories living here. It is been our safe haven for a long time, however, the kids are growing and so it’s time to move on and offer this super convenient living space to other fortunate people.
The current owners have loved this property and it's clear to see. With no expense spared with all of the fittings. The kitchen is beautiful and so well designed to fit an extra breakfast area, the en suite and bathroom are exquisite. The apartment is positioned on the ground floor at the back of the development, with the bay window from the lounge overlooking a green space. The parking conveniently placed right by the entrance of the apartment making it easy to take shopping in. We have no doubt this will be popular.
Located within one mile of Reading town center and a short distance to Green Park and M4 junction 11, this gated development is just a fantastic spot. Reading train line has a direct train to Paddington in 27 minutes, so this property would suit all types of buyers.
