“We were looking for a house in the country which was close to road and railway networks and we were immediately taken by the stunning views over the Severn Valley to Long Mountain and the distant Kerry Ridgeway,” say the vendors.

“The house was in a fairly dilapidated condition, but we saw the potential. There is not a room in the house that has remained untouched. It was a large project but with such a blank canvas, we were able to create areas exactly as we wanted them. We were fortunate to engage a great builder who worked closely with us and the result is a property that is in very good condition and is most pleasing to the eye. In addition, we created wonderful gardens and out-buildings, including a summer house, orangery, large garage and extensive office space.”

“The library contains many books and memories of what we have accomplished in the past and is a special place to sit and relax. An exercise area and gym are on the lower floor along with the steam room and large built in hot tub which are well used after exercise sessions.”

“The house is ideal for entertaining and we often host parties for our neighbours, local friends or people from other aspects of our life. There are several places to eat and afterwards people can spread out throughout the house. The dining room is lovely, especially for dinner parties.”

“The south facing summer room is stunning and we like to use this room for sitting, entertaining and dining. Upstairs, the large master bedroom has a dressing area and en-suite shower bathroom. It is always a particular joy to open the curtains in the morning and soak in the wonderful views

“The house and its gardens (and wider environs) is a beautiful place to live. There are many local villages and small towns ideal for shopping and dining out and it is a superb walking area with places of historical interest nearby, including Powys Castle. We have an office on site from where we run our business and we have enjoyed easy access to the major road and rail networks.”

“We have erected marquees for large celebrations where we entertained 120 guests, which included outside catering, a bar and live entertainment. On warm summer nights the patio is excellent for such gatherings too and entertaining in such a place has provided us with many superb memories.”

“We leave The Rhallt with great regret and we will return to meet our friends and family. Our neighbours are unobtrusive but very amenable and we regard them as friends with whom we will continue to maintain contact. It’s safe to say that from wherever we have been on our travels, we have always been pleased to return home to The Rhallt.”
